If you?re ready for hands-on work, diverse projects, and a team that values your expertise, Howard Properties wants to hear from you!* As a *Journeyperson Carpenter*, your primary responsibilities will involve carpentry, construction-related work, and general labour support for facility upkeep and repair projects. You will work on various tasks, including framing, drywall, concrete, and maintenance repairs across various commercial and residential properties. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong trade background, work ethic, and the flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities. *Key Responsibilities* Carpentry Duties: * Construct, install, and maintain structures and fixtures as per projects specifications. * Perform framing, drywall installation and repair, finish carpentry, flooring, and millwork * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to plan and carry out tasks accurately * Form and pour concrete as required for small-scale construction or repair jobs. * Collaborate with other maintenance team members and trades to complete projects efficiently * Provide guidance and support to apprentices and junior team members to foster skill development and ensure quality work * Operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently Labour & Maintenance: * Maintain a clean and organized workspace and job site * Perform general landscaping, snow removal, or seasonal property upkeep when required * Assist with material handling, equipment transportation, and site preparation or clean-up * Follow all safety procedures, use required PPE, maintain a safe work environment, and report any hazards or unsafe conditions. *Required Skills * * Strong carpentry skills and working knowledge of general construction practices * Ability to read and follow blueprints and technical documents * Proficiency with construction tools and safety procedures * Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete quality work with minimal supervision * Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset * Dependable, organized, and safety conscious Physical Requirements: * Full-body mobility with the ability to twist, turn, bend, squat, lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and perform other physical and manual duties as required. *Qualifications * * Journeyperson Carpenter certification is required * 5+ years of experience in carpentry, renovation, or building maintenance. * Valid Class 5 Driver?s License with a clean Driver?s Abstract * Certificate of Conduct (required) * Safety certifications (Fall Protection, First Aid, Aerial Work Platform, etc.) are considered an asset. *Hours of Work: *Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm.
