How Hibo Works
Hibo is a Canadian job search platform that brings job opportunities from multiple sources into one place and organizes them to make searching easier.
We collect jobs from multiple sources
Hibo monitors selected job sources and employers for publicly available vacancies relevant to Canadian job seekers.
Each listing keeps a connection to its original source so job seekers can verify the vacancy and complete their application with the organization responsible for the posting.
1. Collect
Hibo gathers job listings from multiple employment sources instead of requiring job seekers to search each source separately.
2. Normalize
Job information such as locations, employment types and workplace information is organized into a more consistent format.
3. Classify
Hibo identifies useful groups such as remote, government, student, internship, entry-level and new-graduate opportunities.
4. Remove duplicates
When the same opportunity appears through multiple sources, Hibo works to avoid showing unnecessary duplicate listings.
5. Monitor freshness
Active listings are monitored and jobs that expire or are no longer active are removed from normal search results.
6. Send you to the source
Hibo does not pretend to be the employer. Applications are completed through the original employer or job source whenever available.
Why Hibo organizes job data
Job information from different websites is often structured differently. One source may describe a workplace as remote while another uses work-from-home, and location or employment-type information may be formatted differently.
Hibo organizes this information so users can more easily search and compare opportunities across sources.
Job information can change
Employers can modify, close or remove vacancies at any time. Hibo therefore links to the original source and recommends checking it before submitting an application.
Expired listings are removed from normal Hibo search results while related active opportunities can still be explored.
Hibo's goal
Our goal is simple: reduce the time job seekers spend checking multiple websites and make useful Canadian employment opportunities easier to discover.
