If you?re ready for hands-on work, diverse projects, and the opportunity to learn from experienced tradespeople, Howard Properties wants to hear from you!* As an *Apprentice Carpenter*, you will support experienced carpenters in a wide variety of construction, renovation, and maintenance tasks. You will gain valuable on-the-job training in framing, finishing, material handling, and job site safety, while developing the foundational skills necessary for a successful career in carpentry. You?ll work on both residential and commercial projects as part of a supportive and skilled team. *Key Responsibilities* * Assist in constructing, installing, and repairing building structures. * Measure, cut, and prepare wood and other materials. * Help install formwork, concrete, drywall, doors, flooring and millwork. * Perform basic framing tasks, including walls, stairs, decks, and roofs. * Support finishing work including painting, sealing, and other final touches. * Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment. * Load and unload materials and maintain organized job sites. * Follow directions from Journeyperson Carpenters. * Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and workplace policies. * Contribute to team-oriented, respectful, and productive work environment. *Required Skills * * Basic understanding of carpentry techniques and construction methods. * Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions. * Comfortable using hand tools and power tools. * Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment safely. * Positive attitude, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential. * Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. * Safety certifications such as Fall Protection or First Aid are considered assets. *Qualifications * * Completion of a Carpentry or construction-related program is required. * 1-2 years of related experience in general construction or as a labourer preferred. * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Certificate of Conduct is required. * Valid Class 5 Driver?s License with a clean Driver?s Abstract *Hours of Work: *Monday to Friday, 7:00am ? 3:30pm.
