The University of Alberta Hospital (UAH) Critical Care Program consists of General Systems Intensive Care Unit (GSICU) and the Edmonton Firefighters’ Burn Treatment Unit. The GSICU is a Level 1 Trauma Centre ICU and provincial transplant center for northern and central Alberta, northern BC, Saskatchewan and northern Territories. As a Registered Nurse who is part of the interdisciplinary care team, you will provide evidence-based care to patients with critical illness or trauma, often with multisystem involvement. You will care for patients requiring continuous and intermittent renal replacement for acute and chronic failure. The successful candidate will provide patient and family-centered care to patients undergoing liver transplants as well as kidney/pancreas transplants.
