Licensed practical nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse reports to the clinic manager of the Medical Specialty Clinic and works collaboratively with Rheumatologists, Infectious Disease Specialists, and other members of the care delivery team including outside agencies. The Nurse works in a fast-paced high-volume clinic assisting with patients seen in the Rheumatology and Infectious Diseases Clinic as well as associated specialized programs (Hepatitis Support, Rheumatology, and Northern Alberta Programs) and cross coverage across medicine units. The Nurse is responsible for initial patient assessment and administration of general treatment to the patient under the direction of the physician.
