Job description
Education: College/CEGEP. Work site environment: Child welfare. Education or training. Early intervention programming for at-risk youth. Work setting: Community agency. Government department and/or agency. Rural area. Willing to relocate. Associations and non profit organizations. Public school. Tasks: Prepare reports or case histories. Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Conduct follow-up assessments. Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Supervision: No supervision responsibility. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). Emergency child care first aid and CPR. Mental health first aid Certificate. Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. Cultural Awareness Training. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Target audience: Adolescents. Children. Families. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail. Desktop publishing software. MS Office. Area of work experience: Community service organization. Security and safety: Criminal record check.
