Job description

Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Various locations. Rural area. Willing to relocate. School or educational institution/establishment. Tasks: Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and the patient's outcomes. Examine the behaviour. Interview clients, prepare case histories and assess problems. Write progress reports . Counsel individuals and groups to achieve more effective personal, social and vocational development and adjustment. Perform administrative tasks. Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining goals and means of attaining them. Counsel clients, provide therapy and mediation services, and facilitate group sessions. Maintain accurate records. Initiate, design and implement specialized therapy programs. Identify additional/alternative services and provide referrals. Liaise with community agencies or partners, and identify additional or alternative services and provide referrals. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Accreditation or registration with the appropriate national, provincial or territorial professional association. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic medical records. MS Excel. MS Outlook. MS PowerPoint. MS Windows. MS Word. MS Office. Type of treatment experience: Behaviour modification or behavioural therapy. Client-centered or humanistic/experiential therapy. Cognitive therapy. Crisis intervention counselling. Group dynamics.
