Job description
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products. Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions. Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Load and unload vehicle. Polish metal products to mirror finish. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Safety glasses/goggles. Gloves. Hard hat. Personal suitability: Dependability. Reliability. Experience: No experience (will train). Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
