Channer's Mens Apparel is located in the heart of Uptown Waterloo and has been serving the community as a high-end clothier for 18 years. We are looking for an experienced tailor to join our team to continue providing a complete in-house clothing service. *Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tailor to join our team, committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for altering and repairing garments to meet precise specifications and customer expectations. The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a passion for tailoring that ensures every piece is crafted with excellence. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a reputable organization that values precision, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. *Responsibilities* * Sew, alter, and repair clothing items with precision and attention to detail. * Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and adherence to design standards. * Maintain a clean, organized workspace and properly care for tools and equipment. * Collaborate with staff and/or clients on custom tailoring projects. * Manage multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to deadlines. * Ensure all garments meet quality expectations. * Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used. *Experience* * Proven experience as a tailor or in a similar garment-making role. * Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, pattern making, and fabric properties. * Basic math skills for measurements, pattern adjustments, and calculations. * Excellent customer service skills to engage with clients professionally. * Ability to interpret technical drawings or specifications accurately. * Familiarity with various sewing machines, tools, and tailoring equipment. * Attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship quality. Pay: $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 ? 40.0 per week Ability to commute/relocate: * Waterloo, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * tailoring: 2 years (preferred) Language: * English (required) Work Location: In person
