Job description

Our Lift Operators are responsible for safely and efficiently operating their assigned lift(s), and for the safety of members and guests that use them. This role will assist members and guests, of all skill levels, with loading and unloading on the lifts while providing friendly, helpful and courteous service and maintaining the highest standards of service and safety. *RESPONSIBILITIES:* Interact and converse with members, guests and other employees in a friendly, courteous and co-operative manner. Maintain a positive and helpful attitude towards members, guests and other employees. * Responsible for safe operation of assigned lift * Responsible for following Osler?s safety policies and procedures * Responsible for the safety of all guests and employees while loading, riding and unloading lifts e.g. slowing down the lift, assisting with lowering the bar. * Maintains ramps, signs, mazes and lift stations in a safe, clean, orderly manner. * Maintains an operational logbook as required * Maintains clean and orderly workstations. * Monitors weather and mechanical conditions including notifying maintenance of unusual observations. * Participates in required Lift Attendant training sessions * Able to work independently or in a small group to accomplish daily job-related tasks. * Complete pre-operational procedures, and inspections. * Works with other departments in cooperative and supportive role * Shovel and clear snow from lift loading and unloading areas, as well as the chair lift seats. * Assist with completing lift closing procedures. * Ability to communicate clear instructions & give proper direction to the guests regarding their safety. *DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS* * High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred. * Must be 16 years or older. * Able to lift 25 pounds and on occasion up to 50 pounds. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time. * Must be able to shovel, rake, or ice chip when and if required. * With this being an outside position, exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions including extreme cold. * Skiing/Snowboarding is a plus but not required. * Able to commit the entire winter season. * Must be dependable, enthusiastic and enjoy working in a team environment. * Flexible, adaptable and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities. * Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Possess professional maturity and impeccable integrity. * You demonstrate Osler Bluff Ski Club?s values and vision. *Note: * Use of cell phones or other electronic devices is prohibited during work hours unless authorized by management.
