The Registered Arrhythmia Technologist in the Cardiac Arrhythmia Unit works with the interdisciplinary team to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Electrophysiology Lab and Device Clinic to deliver safe and efficient patient care and outcomes. The procedures will include, but not be limited to, electrophysiology studies including measurements, tachyarrhythmia induction and ablation, and pacemaker/ICD insertion, testing and programming of the device. Responsibilities will include safe operation and troubleshooting of equipment, concise and accurate documentation and adherence to unit and hospital policies and procedures. In addition, they will act as a resource person for team members to explain and educate on the technical aspects of the procedures or devices.
