The Biomedical Technologist - Mechanical performs Biomed mechanical functions in the Biomed Mechanical machine shop. Duties include repair and enhancement of surgical instruments, fabrication of any apparatus required to solve a particular challenge or problem, and consult on any aspect related to medical or surgical processes (including appropriateness of materials related to sterility). Other duties as assigned by the manager. The position involves activities ranging from routine to critical patient safety issues management. Qualifications1. Tool Maker (college certificate). 2.
