Job description

Education: Earned doctorate degree. Clinical psychology. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Mental health institution, facility or clinic. Rehabilitation centre and special health institution. Tasks: Conduct program evaluations. Diagnose any behaviour disorders. Examine the behaviour. Use standard psychological tests for assessment. Provide therapy. Counsel individuals and groups to achieve more effective personal, social and vocational development and adjustment. Perform administrative tasks. Apply psychological theory and principles regarding behaviour and mental processes. Maintain accurate records. Plan intervention programs. Administer standard psychological tests for assessment. Interpret test results. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions. Participate in staff meetings. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Provincial or territorial Psychologist's Certificate of Registration. Membership in the Canadian Psychological Association. Medical specialization: Psychology. Area of specialization: Quality improvement. Screening questions: Do you have experience working in this field?.
