Job description
*Overview* We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, along with related skills such as mechanical knowledge, carpentry, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role offers opportunities to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial installations, ensuring the proper functioning of plumbing systems. Candidates must be capable of heavy lifting and working with various hand and power tools in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver?s license for commercial driving is preferred, along with experience in construction and welding. This position is essential for maintaining safety standards and delivering quality workmanship. *Responsibilities* * Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs * Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively * Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for installation or repair projects * Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues before they become major problems * Collaborate with team members on construction projects, including carpentry and HVAC tasks when necessary * Follow safety protocols and building codes to ensure compliance during all phases of work * Assist in assembly and installation of fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and piping systems * Maintain a clean work environment and properly dispose of waste materials *Skills* * Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of plumbing systems and components * Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading * Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation * Experience in construction-related tasks including carpentry and heavy lifting techniques * Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus for integrated building maintenance projects * Ability to operate commercial vehicles for transportation of materials when required * Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues efficiently on-site * Excellent communication skills for teamwork and client interactions This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong work ethic who is committed to delivering high-quality results while adhering to safety standards.
