Job description
Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer. Community or retail pharmacy. Tasks: Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage. Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals. Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies. Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication. Check prescriptions for proper dosage. Maintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
