Job description
*Job Summary* House of Fork is looking for a reliable, motivated, and skilled *Full-Time Line Cook* to join our kitchen team. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to House of Fork?s recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced restaurant environment, maintains a clean and organized workstation, and consistently follows food safety and sanitation procedures. The Line Cook will work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations. *Responsibilities* * Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. * Set up and maintain assigned stations before, during, and after service. * Ensure food is prepared consistently, accurately, and in a timely manner. * Follow portion control, plating, and presentation standards. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. * Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. * Assist with food preparation, stocking, receiving, and storage as required. * Monitor food quality and freshness and report any concerns to the Chef or Kitchen Manager. * Work efficiently as part of a team during busy service periods. * Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties. * Support other kitchen team members and perform additional duties as required. *Experience* * Previous experience as a line cook or in a professional restaurant kitchen is required. * Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality. * Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to maintain a clean and organized workstation. * Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Food safety certification is an asset. The successful candidate should be willing to learn, take direction, and contribute positively to the kitchen team.
