Licensed practical nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a regulated member of the inter-professional health care team who utilizes the nursing process, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills to provide care to individuals across the life span. The LPN provides care in alignment with Alberta Health Services mission to provide patient focused quality health services and the AHS values of respect, accountability, transparency, engagement, safety, learning, and performance. The LPN collaborates and participates in the provision of health care to patients and families in a variety of settings.
