*Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman/Woman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and restoration sites. Your expertise will ensure that all structures are built to precise specifications, safety standards are maintained, and project timelines are met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your craftsmanship, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment that values quality and efficiency. *Responsibilities* * Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide project execution. * Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures such as framing, drywall, siding, roofing, flooring, tile work, and cabinetry with precision. * Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks efficiently. * Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and other foundational tasks as required. * Assist with construction painting, caulking, siding installation, and heavy lifting to support various phases of projects. * Follow safety protocols diligently while maintaining a clean and organized work site. * Estimate materials needed for projects; assist in construction estimating processes when required. * Support restoration projects by applying woodworking skills and craftsmanship to refurbish or rebuild structures. * Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining high standards of quality. *Requirements* * Proven experience as a Journeyman/Woman Carpenter or in a similar construction role with a strong portfolio of completed projects. * Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings. * Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery (if applicable), and other carpentry equipment. * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physically fit for demanding tasks on-site. * Familiarity with construction estimating processes and material calculations. * Skilled in various trades including drywall installation, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, roofing, siding, and rebar installation. * Strong understanding of safety standards related to construction sites; OSHA certification is a plus. * Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs. * Valid driver?s license preferred; handyman experience or general construction experience is advantageous. \*Only apply if you live in the Edmonton area.
