Who we need Reporting to the VP, Business Transformation, we are hiring Digital Transformation Interns (AI & Process Improvement) to join our Digital Transformation team for a four- or eight-month term beginning in January 2027.
As our new Digital Transformation Intern, you will be assigned to a delivery pod alongside our Digital Transformation Partners and AI delivery leads, and you will own real work: understanding how a business process runs today, finding where it breaks down, building an AI-enabled solution, testing it with the people who will use it, and helping put it into production.
WELL’s Digital Transformation team works across the enterprise, including Finance, People & Culture, Legal, Marketing, and Clinic Operations, to redesign how work gets done and apply automation and AI where they create the greatest value.
The team is organized around four capabilities: Data, AI, Digital Transformation and ERP.
You will build with the same tools our full-time team uses, including Microsoft Copilot and Azure AI Foundry, on top of WELL’s intelligence platform.
This is a full-time internship or co-op placement remote role requiring the flexibility to meet in person in Vancouver or Toronto twice a month for focused working sessions, collaboration, and mentorship.
Who you are We are looking for students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program who will return to their studies after the placement.
We welcome students at different stages of their degree, including those pursuing an internship, completing their first work term, and those with previous co-op experience. We are looking for students who are genuinely AI-native - people who already reach for these tools by instinct - and who pair that with real functional grounding in an area such as finance, human resources or operations.
The combination is the point.
Understanding how a business function actually works is what separates an AI solution people adopt from one they quietly ignore.
What’s in it for you Real-world impact.
You will go beyond experimenting with AI to build solutions that solve real business challenges.
From identifying opportunities to developing, testing, and deploying AI-enabled tools, you will see how your work can improve processes and make a meaningful difference across a leading healthcare organization.
Mentorship and learning.
You will work alongside Digital Transformation Partners and Applied AI Engineers who will guide and challenge you as you develop your technical and problem-solving skills.
You will gain hands-on experience with enterprise AI tools, learn how transformation initiatives move from idea to implementation, and have opportunities to share your work with senior
