Greenhouse labourer

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Confined spaces. Wet/damp. Odours. Hot. Cold/refrigerated. Work setting: Staff accommodation available. Tasks: Budding trees. Clean the crops. Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas. Greenhouse cleaning. Harvest seedlings. Mixing fertilizer. Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts. Tie and secure plants. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Weeding. Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides. Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants. Mix and prepare soils. Plant bulbs and seeds. Pot and re-pot plants. Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings. Apply fertilizers. Report signs of insect or disease damage. Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Clean work area. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses paid by employer. Vehicle supplied by employer. Transportation supplied to and from work. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks.
