Early childhood assistant

Wee Leprechauns Child Care Center (WLCC) is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and experienced Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) to join our small, friendly team. If you are passionate about fostering a nurturing environment where children can thrive and learn through play, we want to hear from you! *Role Overview* * *Start Date:* ASAP * *Hours:* 30 ? 40 hours per week (Full-time/Permanent) * *Location:* Toronto, Ontario * *Compensation:* $18-$20. *Key Responsibilities* * *Support & Supervision:* Assist the Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in implementing age-appropriate programming and supervising children in indoor and outdoor settings. * *Environment Maintenance:* Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment in compliance with the _Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)_. * *Child Development:* Observe and document children?s progress, interests, and needs to help tailor educational activities. * *Communication:* Maintain professional and positive relationships with co-workers and parents, provide daily updates on their child?s well-being and development. * *Daily Care:* Assist with daily routines, including meal times, dressing, and hygiene/toileting. *Requirements & Qualifications* To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria: * *Experience:* Minimum of 1 year of experience in child care. * *Documentation:* Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C, up-to-date Immunization Records and TB test (within 6 months), Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) (within 6 months). * *References:* Professional references are preferred. * *Skills:* Strong communication skills, a warm and patient demeanor, and a deep understanding of Ontario's "How Does Learning Happen?" pedagogy. *How to Apply* Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience to *info@weeleprechaunschildcarecentre.com*.
