Job description

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: At heights. Dusty. Noisy. Outdoors. Work setting: Commercial. Remote location. Residential. Rural area. Various locations. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Supervise other workers. Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings. Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets. Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists. Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring. Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets. Install exterior and interior steel studs. Prepare wall and ceiling layouts. Utilize laser alignment system. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Handling heavy loads. Large workload. Manual dexterity. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods. Walking. Work under pressure. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Dependability. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Judgement.
