*Experienced Medical Office Assistant (MOA)* Beaumont Medical ? Beaumont is one of Canada's fastest-growing communities, with a population of over 26,000. We work in association with the Leduc Beaumont Devon Primary Care Network (PCN). You'll join a supportive, collaborative team of 6 physicians, experienced MOAs, and Team-Based Care providers who work together to deliver excellent care. *Position Overview* We're looking for an experienced Medical Office Assistant who knows TELUS Health MedAccess and can contribute quickly in a busy family practice. You'll get a clinic-specific orientation, but this role is for someone who already has solid front-desk and EMR experience. *Key Responsibilities* _Reception & Patient Support_ * Greet patients, visitors, and business representatives * Answer a high volume of calls, respond to inquiries, and route calls appropriately * Document messages accurately in MedAccess * Manage patient flow and the waiting room * Keep the clinic clean, organized, and welcoming * Use de-escalation skills with patients who are upset or difficult _Patient Intake & Scheduling_ * Complete new patient intake and documentation * Book and manage appointments, recalls, and follow-ups in MedAccess * Direct patients to the right clinicians or external resources * Maintain and update electronic patient charts * Answer patient questions about clinic services _Clinical Support_ * Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight) * Call patients about appointments and test results * Do urine testing, specimen handling, and lab coordination * Assist with vision testing and basic cognitive screening * Assist with minor procedures (e.g., ear flushing, dressing changes, suture removal) * Draw up injections and coordinate simple testing _Administrative & Clerical_ * Scan, fax, and file medical documents * Prepare reports, letters, and notices * Handle and organize mail and documents * Support clinic operations and special projects _Supplies & Clinic Operations_ * Monitor inventory and organize supplies * Follow equipment sterilization processes * Help keep the clinic tidy and organized during slower periods *Requirements* * Medical Office Assistant diploma or certificate * Minimum 1-2 years of experience using TELUS Health MedAccess EMR (required) * Minimum 2-3 years of MOA experience in a family practice medical clinic * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Organized, dependable, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced clinic * Professional, positive attitude and strong commitment to patient confidentiality * Reliable transportation to Beaumont *Why Join Beaumont Medical?* * Collaborative, respectful team culture * Stable, long-term position in a growing community clinic * Varied work across clinical and administrative duties *How to Apply* Apply through Indeed with your resume and a short cover letter.
