*Director of Engineering* Company: Swiftlink Technologies Inc. Employment Type: Full-time Location: Richmond, British Columbia, Canada Reports to: VP of Engineering *Position Overview* Swiftlink is seeking a Director of Engineering with strong technical expertise and execution capabilities to manage the engineering team?s daily operations and program implementation. The role will drive RF semiconductor products through validation, testing, system integration, and production readiness. The Director will translate the product and delivery objectives established by the VP of Engineering into specific tasks, resource allocations, and execution plans. This role requires direct involvement in technical reviews, problem diagnosis, and engineering decisions, while coordinating teams and external partners to deliver on schedule. *Key Responsibilities* · Translate product and program objectives into engineering tasks, staffing plans, schedules, and acceptance criteria. · Manage daily engineering operations, track program progress, lead technical reviews, and drive issues to resolution. · Oversee prototype chip testing, evaluation board and reference design development, system integration, and performance validation. · Coordinate testing of bare dies, packaged devices, and evaluation boards to identify and resolve issues. · Lead analysis of differences between simulated and measured results, and coordinate improvements with the design team. · Develop and improve test plans, automated test programs, and data analysis workflows. · Work with packaging providers, test providers, and suppliers to support package validation, test development, and production introduction. · Manage engineering changes, product configurations, test reports, and release documentation to ensure version consistency and traceability. · Support customer sample evaluations, technical issue resolution, and product acceptance. · Mentor engineers and report progress, resource requirements, and delivery risks to the VP of Engineering. *Required Qualifications* · A master?s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Communications Engineering, or a related discipline. A PhD is preferred. · At least eight years of experience in RF, semiconductor, or related hardware engineering, including at least three years of team or project management experience. · Experience in prototype chip validation, product engineering, or production introduction. · Strong knowledge of RF measurement methods and experience using vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and related test equipment. · Ability to understand interactions among RF circuits, PCBs, packaging, and systems, and lead cross-functional troubleshooting. · Familiarity with engineering documentation, version management, change control, and product release processes. · Strong planning, technical judgment, team coordination, and execution skills. · Proficiency in English for technical communication and engineering documentation. · Travelling *Preferred Qualifications* · Experience with X, Ku/Ka-band products, millimeter-wave transceivers, PLLs, or phased-array systems. · Experience developing millimeter-wave, RF SOI, CMOS RFIC, or broadband transceiver products. · Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or other test automation and data analysis tools. · Experience in wafer testing, packaged-device testing, yield improvement, or reliability qualification. · Experience in customer-facing applications engineering and field troubleshooting. · Ability to communicate professionally in Mandarin Chinese. *Expected Outcomes* Establish clear and traceable engineering execution processes, complete product validation and issue resolution, deliver comprehensive test and release documentation, and support successful production introduction and on-time delivery.
