DIRECT SUPPORT WORKER - Full Time Position

Battlefords Residential Services Inc. (BRSI) supports adults with intellectual and physical disabilities in residential and community settings. We are seeking a dependable and compassionate individual to join our team as a Full-Time Direct Support Worker. This is a hands-on support role. DSWs assist individuals with all aspects of daily living while promoting dignity, independence and choice. Duties may include: *Bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and other personal care; *Preparing and cooking meals; *Administering medications; *Housekeeping, laundry and maintaining the home; *Supporting appointments, recreation and community activities; *Following individual support, behaviour and health-care plans; and *Completing daily documentation. Applicants must be comfortable providing personal care and supporting adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism, FASD, physical disabilities and/or behavioural needs. Must be able to work independently, contribute positively to a team, communicate important information clearly, and complete accurate documentation including progress notes and medication records. Disability, health care or human services experience is an asset, but training is provided. A valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence is required. Learner's licences are not accepted. This unionized position pays $19.66-$24.56/hour on a 4-step wage grid and follows a set 4-week rotation including days, evenings and nights. Shifts cannot be adjusted to accommodate another job or work schedule. A Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check is required. First Aid/CPR training is provided.
