Permanent Full Time Janitor/Light Maintenance

Responsibilities and Duties included but not limited to: * Ensuring the cleanliness, sanitary and safe environment of all BRT6HC facilities. * Follow established procedures regarding personal safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), WHMIS etc. * Participate as a team member of the finance and administration department who are responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective administrative support system for the operations of Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre. Competencies and Qualifications * Minimum Grade 12 or an acceptable equivalent * Minimum 2 years janitorial and building maintenance experience * Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision * Must be proficient in the use of carpet cleaner, vacuum cleaner, stripping/floor waxing equipment, tools * Must provide a successful current criminal record check with vulnerable sector * High degree of confidentiality is essential; must have the ability to adhere to confidentiality guidelines * Must have a reliable method of transportation to and from work * Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures *Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
