Job description

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Motor vehicles. Outdoors. Work setting: Various locations. Willing to relocate. Transportation. Transportation, communication and utilities. Rural area. Courier company. Tasks: Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments. Transport and handle dangerous goods. Perform administrative tasks. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Operate heavy equipment. Load and unload goods. Keep a record of items received and delivered. Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand. Use maps and other trip planning aids. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Professionalism in customer service. Provide customer service. Sort packages for delivery. Follow directions and read map. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Supervision: 5-10 people. Contractors. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate. Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Office. MS Outlook. Area of work experience: Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury. Specialization or experience: Green economy sector. Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Walking. Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Team player. Initiative. Efficient interpersonal skills. Flexibility.
