*Job Overview* We are seeking a experienced dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant for a 12 month maternity leave starting December 14 to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical operations of the practice. As a Certified Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth workflow, maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene, and delivering a positive experience for every patient. Your expertise in dental procedures, technology, and patient communication will contribute significantly to our commitment to excellence in dental health services. Hours are as follows Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm & Saturdays 9:00am to 2:00pm closed Wednesday & Sundays *Duties* * Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. * Assist dentists during various procedures, including examinations, restoration * Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients, addressing questions related to dental procedures and oral health. * Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with health regulations and safety standards. *Qualifications* * Valid certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program; experience with Epic or Dentrix software is highly desirable. * Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols. * Experience working with pediatric patients and in orthodontic settings is preferred. * Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care. * Ability to operate dental CAD systems for designing restorations or appliances when required. * Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of diverse backgrounds and coordinate with team members.
