Business Systems Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW The City of Prince Albert is seeking a motivated Business Systems Analyst to support, enhance, and optimize corporate business systems. This permanent full-time position is responsible for analyzing business needs, developing system solutions, supporting software applications and integrations, delivering user training, troubleshooting issues, and promoting innovative technology solutions that improve organizational efficiency and service delivery. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field. Five (5) years' experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting software or business system solutions. Business Analysis certification is an asset. Experience with Financial, Payroll, Work Management, and Document Management systems. Proficiency in SQL queries, reporting tools, and data analysis (Power BI, SPSS, or similar). Microsoft Dynamics GP, Financial ERP, SQL Server, network, and server experience are assets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Gather, analyze, and document business requirements with stakeholders and end users. Lead system design, implementation, enhancement, upgrade, and integration projects. Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analyses and recommend business system improvements. Develop documentation and deliver end-user training. Analyze existing and proposed systems to ensure they meet operational needs. Identify issues, recommend solutions, and promote effective use of technology. Ensure system compatibility, reliability, maintenance, and updates.
