Job description
*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team! You will be living in the Comox Valley and work remotely with the ability to come on-site at least one a month. You work for or have worked for other government funded charities under Community Living BC. *Duties* 1. Transactions categorized in all bank accounts and credit cards for Beaufort Association (BAI) and Pet Treat Bakery (PTB) 2. Monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts and credit card accounts 3. Presentation of monthly financial statements - Income Statement and Balance Sheet- for Beaufort Association and Pet Treat Bakery to the Board of Directors 4. Monthly invoicing to the Village of Cumberland for Litter Services based on timesheet hours 5. Periodic updates to the Staff Calculator when BAI contracts with Community Living BC changes 6. Biweekly Service Level Report Tracking updates 7. Sorting of receipts and bills into folders by month/year in the Accounting SharePoint Drive 8. Reconcile Petty Cash for BAI and PTB 9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date Accounts Receivable for PTB 10. Scan and store bank deposit records 11. Set up bill payments in the Bank accounts and notify for authorization 12. Regularly monitor email accounts 13. At ?scal year end, ?nalization of ?scal yearend bookkeeping and adjustments; Working with Accountants to produce year-end ?nancial reports Additional services could include: ? Remote help ? Onsite support ? Scheduled check-ins ? Assistance with required yearly Community Living BC reports ? Attendance at the monthly board meeting, when available, to present the ?nancial reports *Requirements* * Excell * Proven experience with QuickBooks * Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation * Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze financial data accurately. * Ability to perform bank reconciliations and account analysis efficiently. * Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting standards. * Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a part-time capacity.
