Assistant Librarian

The Assistant Librarian assists with a wide variety of public library routines under the direction of the Branch Librarian, working with minimal supervision. This includes a thorough knowledge of library policies and procedures. Work methods are governed by established procedures, but the Assistant Librarian must be able to exercise independent judgment, initiative, and work cooperatively with others. Accuracy is essential. Must be able to plan and supervise staff in the absence of the Branch Librarian, be precise in duties and work effectively with the board and public.
