CLAC is an affiliated member of the World Organisation of Workers. We are currently accepting resumes for an Administrative Assistant to join the Fort McMurray Regional Team. This is a full-time, permanent position in our Fort McMurray Member Centre. *Job Summary:* We are seeking a motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills who can work independently and as part of a team to fulfil the role of an Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate must have the ability to multi-task in a busy, challenging environment that includes frequent interruptions and distraction. Due to the nature of the role, discretion is essential as is a respect for the confidential nature of member information. *Key Responsibilities:* Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Preparing and proofreading a variety of memos, forms, letters, and reports * Formatting and editing documents * Filing documents * Composing simple, routine letters * Preparing packages for employee sign-up, membership meetings, organizing drives, etc. * Making copies of, or scanning correspondence or other printed matter * Welcoming, directing and assisting with visitors and callers * Assisting and overseeing students and trainees *Qualifications:* * Completion of high school or equivalency education *Skills and Experience:* * Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and database work * Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships * Ability to function in a busy, challenging environment and remain composed under pressure * Strong attention to detail * Able to handle confidential information with diplomacy and strict adherence to confidentiality *Reporting and Accountability:* * This position reports directly to the Regional Director *Compensation: * The annual salary will range from $57,017 to $71,076. *To Apply:* Please submit your cover letter and resume to Jay Bueckert, Regional Director at jbueckert@clac.ca and indicate in your application where you came across the position. *Application Deadline: *October 16, 2026 *Approximate Start Date: *November 2026 CLAC offers a competitive wage and excellent benefit package, as well as the opportunity to work in a dynamic, rewarding, and challenging workplace community.
