About this tool
The word remote is used in different ways. Some jobs are fully remote across Canada, some require the worker to live in a particular province, some are hybrid, and others only allow occasional work from home. Hibo's Remote Job Eligibility Checker uses the remote classifications already generated by the job pipeline and compares them with active listings.
You can paste a Hibo job URL or enter a job title. For a specific job, the tool reports the remote and workplace signals stored for that posting. For a broader occupation search, it shows the share of matching jobs currently classified as remote or hybrid and gives examples of active remote opportunities. This makes the result a market snapshot rather than a promise that a particular employer will approve remote work.
This tool does not determine immigration status, Canadian work authorization, payroll eligibility or where an employer is legally able to hire. Those issues depend on the employer and the worker's circumstances. Always read the original posting for location restrictions, time-zone expectations, travel requirements and whether the employer requires residence in a specific province or country.
