About this tool
Career changes are easier to evaluate when an idea is connected to real opportunities. Hibo's Career Transition Explorer uses the skills and interests you provide to rank a sample of active jobs and identify recurring job titles that may deserve further research. It is designed for exploration rather than career counselling or a guarantee that a transition will be easy.
The tool works best when you enter practical transferable skills, such as customer service, Excel, project management, sales, programming, bookkeeping, equipment operation or language skills. You can also provide the type of work you want to move toward and a province. Hibo then looks for active jobs with overlapping signals and groups the strongest results into possible directions.
A suggested role may still require education, certification or experience you do not yet have. Treat each path as a research lead. Open the related jobs, compare their requirements, look for repeated skills and identify realistic gaps you could close through training, projects or experience. For regulated professions and skilled trades, verify licensing and certification requirements with the appropriate Canadian authority before making a major career decision.
