This is a bargaining unit position.* *Job Summary:* Currently this Youth Worker position delivers services to youth in two program areas: Skills for Youth Success (SYS) supports long-term career planning and academic, employment and social support for newcomer, out-of-status, racialized, 2SLGBTQI+ and/or underserved youth, 13-29 years of age. Through interactive, step-by step instruction, SYS assists youth in developing job search skills and networking skills. The Youth Worker develops and delivers the program. The Wintegration After-School Program engages children in grades 1 through 6 in after-school activities (3:30-6:30pm) during the school year. Programming incorporates 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity daily, a healthy snack, support for academic achievement and education on food, nutrition, wellness, and personal health. The Youth Worker regularly delivers this program two days per week alongside other youth workers. *Duties:* · Deliver comprehensive outreach strategies for children, youth, and their parents · Prepare promotional material, and publicize events · Conduct client intake and referrals to appropriate community and settlement services · Develop and deliver after-school activities for children focused on physical activity, nutrition and homework-help · Develop and deliver workshops and programs covering job search skills, interview skills and digital self-marketing including infographic resumes, web-based digital portfolios · Co-ordinate workshop facilitators · Coordinate with community partners including Toronto Community Housing · May supervise placement students and volunteers . Enter and maintain program statistics and client information into OCMS . Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate services, facilitate referrals, and support positive client outcomes . Support virtual and in-person program delivery using appropriate technology and online tools . Participate in agency-wide initiatives, meetings, training, and other activities that contribute to CultureLink?s mission and strategic priorities · Other duties as assigned *Required Work Capacities:* · Physical demands: on-site work required; sitting at a desk for computer work (50% of the workday) and meetings; lifting (files, laptop, and program supplies up to 5 kg); leading moderate to vigorous physical activities; travel between worksites · Non-physical demands: occasional deadlines; variety of tasks · Social/emotional demands: teamwork; relationship/network-building; exposure to emotional situations; working closely with the public, with clients and with colleagues · Cognitive/mental demands: attention to detail; self-supervision/autonomy; multitasking; organizational ability/time management, adaptability, sound judgement, effective written communication *Qualifications:* · Post-secondary program or degree in a field relevant to human services, or a combination of equivalent experience and education · Membership in the College of Early Childho
