The Program Coordinator will deliver the Honouring Our Families: Women and Family Justice Program, supporting the safety, wellbeing, and resilience of Indigenous women, children, youth, and families through culturally grounded, trauma-informed programming and community-based supports. Duties and Responsibilities -Develop and deliver culturally grounded wellness, healing, and family programming. -Coordinate sharing circles, cultural teachings, land-based activities, and community gatherings. -Support participants with wellness and safety planning, referrals, advocacy, and system navigation. -Provide education and activities related to family violence, gender-based violence, healthy relationships, and community safety. -Connect participants with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, cultural supports, and community services. -Assist participants in navigating justice, housing, health, employment, and social service systems. -Build relationships with community organizations and service providers. -Plan family-friendly and intergenerational cultural activities. -Track program activities and participant engagement and complete required quarterly and annual reporting. -Participate in training, evaluation, and project activities coordinated by AFCS. Requirements: -Experience working with Indigenous women, children, youth, families, and communities. -Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, traditions, and community-based approaches. -Understanding of trauma-informed practice, family violence, gender-based violence, and barriers to accessing services. -Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and relationship-building skills. -Experience in community programming, human services, justice, social work, or a related area is an asset. -Relevant education, training, lived experience, and/or community experience will be considered. -Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries -Satisfactory criminal record/vulnerable sector check.
