As a Water Program Analyst, you will conduct research and evaluate reports on the efficacy of Water Security Agencys (WSA) water management and governance programs. Effective collaboration, strong communication, and the ability to break down technical information into clear, practical recommendations are fundamental to the work youll be doing. Some of the deliverables expected from this position include the development, review, and modification of standards and performance indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the provinces water management and licensing programs such as water and wastewater certification, safe drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, water allocation, aquatic habitat protection and informatics. The position also provides advice and training to both internal and external clients regarding new or modified water regulations, policies, and programs. You will also conduct research projects and program evaluations, including identifying options and recommending courses of action to improve program delivery and services that meet current and anticipated expectations. The successful candidate will have a degree in civil or environmental engineering, biology, chemistry, physics, biology, microbiology, biochemistry, toxicology, environmental science or related biological science and 5 years of related experience. You must possess or be eligible to obtain a Level 2 Water Treatment and Distribution and Level 1 Wastewater Collection and Treatment course and exam.
