The Rockyview General Hospital (RGH) is unique in offering a combined 12 bed Intensive Care Unit and 7 bed Coronary Care Unit. With a primary focus on critically ill medical & surgical patients who require a high degree of specialized nursing and medical care, common patient diagnoses include respiratory failure, pneumonia, complications related to asthma, cardiac arrest, sepsis, renal and liver failure, complications of diabetes (DKA), complications of pregnancy, shock, chest pain, MI, CHF and dysrhythmias. The Critical Care Unit Clerk is a pivotal member of the inter-professional team in the ICU/CCU.
