As a member of our Public Works team, you'll operate trucks and heavy equipment, perform infrastructure maintenance, support snow and ice control operations, and assist with emergency storm and flood response. This role is ideal for a safety-conscious individual who enjoys outdoor work, operating equipment, and contributing to essential community services. About the Role:This hands-on position operates a variety of trucks and equipment while performing manual labour to support the operation and maintenance of roads, storm and sewer systems, water systems, transportation infrastructure, and flood control systems. Responsibilities include snow and ice control, responding to storm and flooding events, operating heavy and small equipment, and delivering exceptional service to the public. Who you are: The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality municipal services in all weather conditions. You possess a valid Class 3 B.C. Driver's License with air endorsement, 1 year of experience operating heavy trucks and heavy equipment, Certified TCP (Traffic Control Person)and WHMIS.Who we are: The District of Squamish is a progressive and growing community.
