The ideal candidate for this position will also have the following: * An exceptional attendance record. * Mechanically inclined. * Is a fast learner. * Ability to identify and solve problems. * Strong attention to detail. * Works well within a team. * Interacts with customers and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner. * Conducts self with honesty and integrity. * Is accountable for own actions. * Understands local Workplace Health & Safety Legislation. * Ability to work with minimum supervision. * Valid AB Driver's license. * Clean Drivers Abstract. * Drug Free. * Clean Criminal Records check. Skills required for this position include: * Basic hand tool use & safety. * Basic sheet metal fabrication. * Copper tubing bending and brazing. * Basic electrical knowledge (low voltage controls & residential split phase). * Ability to follow/perform installation procedures for HVAC equipment and troubleshoot problems. * Comfortable working on a ladder. * Regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. * Complete tasks in a timely manner. * Maintain clean and safe workspace. Compensation will depend on experience and trade certifications. This is a year-round permanent fulltime long-term position. Employees will have an opportunity for a company vehicle. Travel time paid 1 way to job site. Willing to indenture sheet metal worker or gasfitter apprentices.
