Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented HR Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing human resources functions, supporting recruitment efforts, employee relations, and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) management. Your proactive approach will help ensure smooth HR operations and contribute to our company?s growth and success. Duties * Manage and maintain HRIS systems such as Workday, Dayforce, Ceridian, UltiPro, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, and Kronos to ensure accurate data collection and reporting * Coordinate talent acquisition activities * Support onboarding processes by facilitating new hire training & development programs and conducting employee orientation sessions * Handle employee relations matters with professionalism, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues * Assist with payroll processing * Contribute to change management initiatives by supporting project management efforts related to HR system implementations or process improvements * Maintain comprehensive records of HR activities, data entry tasks, and administrative documentation Skills * Proficiency with HRIS platforms (we use DriveHRIS) * Strong knowledge of human resources management practices such as talent acquisition, employee relations, and recruiting strategies * Experience with payroll systems like ADP or UltiPro and applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Lever or iCIMS * Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members at all levels * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously through project management skills * Familiarity with change management principles to support organizational transitions * Data collection and data entry expertise ensuring accuracy in HR records Who we are looking for: - an experienced HR professional with 2-3 years of experience - a candidate who possesses a degree or certificate in HR - someone who lives locally to Carleton Place or nearby who could benefit by working closer to home - someone who enjoys building teams and sees themselves as a team player - G driver's license - automotive experience an asset, but not required.
