Job description
Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Tasks: Analyze the patient during the treatments. Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record images. Monitor examination to evaluate quality and consistency of diagnostic images, and make adjustments to equipment, as required. Record, store and process scanned images by using camera unit connected to the ultrasound equipment. Provide personnal asistance to patients during treatments. Prepare examination reports for physicians. Check ultrasound equipment to ensure proper operation. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Certification. Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Registration. Security and safety: Immunization records. Tuberculosis test. Criminal record check. Child Abuse Registry check. Screening questions: Do you have experience working in this field?.
