Position #: 9014537 Expected Start Date: November 23, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Royal University Hospital City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Social Work Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: November 30, 2027 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Standby Number of Hours per Rotation: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Social Worker - BSW $35.137 to $42.966 Travel Required: No Job Description: This Social Work position will work with acute care patients/families, in the hospital or outpatient setting. This position works with an Interdisciplinary team of professionals to support patients and the families, as they navigate the healthcare system. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- Preference will be given to candidates with medical social work experienceEducation- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)Knowledge and Abilities- Skilled in psycho-social assessment and the ability to work with individuals- Knowledge in the SHA, community resources and applicable programming- Ability to work independently- Ability to advocate on behalf of clients, caregivers /extended family members.Other Information- HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW) About US The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.
