Social worker msw - child & youth mental health

Working within the context of a multidisciplinary team, and utilizing a patient and family-centered approach, the MCH MUMC CYMHP Social Worker conducts mental health assessments and/or provides case management and /or treatment to children, youth and their families, often on an urgent basis to high acuity patients, in the Mental Health Assessment Unit (MAU). The Social Worker delivers a range of evidence-based treatment to individuals and families including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), emotion-focused family therapy (EFFT), and collaborative assessment and management of suicidality (CAMS).
