Social media content specialist

*Job Overview* Plus Communications and Tech Connect are looking for a hands on Content Creator and Social Media Specialist to build our online presence and generate customer engagement, leads and store traffic. This is a content creation role, not a basic social media management position. *Key Responsibilities* * Create 20 to 30 high quality short form videos per month for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube * Film, edit and publish content independently * Create product, promotional, educational, entertaining and customer focused videos * Develop scripts, hooks and creative ideas * Film regularly at our retail locations across the GTA * Feature phones, technology, promotions, staff and customers * Manage social media content calendars and posting * Monitor trends and create relevant content quickly * Respond to comments and messages * Track content performance and improve based on results * Support promotional campaigns and paid advertising content * Identify and coordinate local influencer and creator opportunities *Requirements* * 1 to 4 years of hands on content creation experience * Strong portfolio of Reels, TikTok or YouTube Shorts * Excellent video shooting and editing skills * Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva or similar tools * Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube * Excellent communication and writing skills * Comfortable filming in stores and interacting with customers and staff * Comfortable appearing on camera when required * Creative, energetic and self motivated * Able to work independently and meet deadlines * Reliable transportation is preferred *Technology, wireless, retail, sales or e commerce experience is a strong advantage.* Additional languages such as *Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu* or *Arabic *are an asset. *Key Objectives* Your success will be measured by: * Consistent production of high quality content * Growth in engagement and reach * Increased DMs and customer inquiries * Increased website traffic and store visits * Leads and sales generated from social media * Ability to identify and repeat content that performs well *Portfolio Required* *Please include a portfolio or links to your previous work.* Applications without relevant examples of your content may not be considered.
