Shipping and receiving clerk

*Job Overview* We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting overall shipping department operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, order fulfillment, and equipment operation such as forklifts, tractor and/or pallet jacks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on precision and safety. *Duties* * Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists * Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labelling products accurately * Load and unload freight using forklifts, tractors, or other warehouse equipment * Ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transit * Manage order picking processes efficiently to meet shipping deadlines * Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy * Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules * Follow safety protocols during all material handling activities * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment *Skills* * Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment * Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving and order fulfillment * Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory and order processing * Skilled in packaging materials handling and order picking procedures * Familiarity with warehouse distribution best practices and safety standards * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy * Good communication skills and attention to detail This role is vital for maintaining smooth warehouse operations and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely delivery of quality products.
