_*Roll-Off Truck Driver*_ *DIVISON: *General Waste Management *LOCATION: *Whitehorse, Yukon *POSITION STATUS: *Permanent, Full-Time *SUPERVISOR: *General Manager *POSITION SUMMARY* Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position will assist with a variety of duties including but not limited to the delivery, pickup & servicing of waste bins using a roll-off waste removal truck, light shop and vehicle maintenance and other related duties. *SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Loading & unloading of waste equipment/goods * Delivery, removal & maintenance of waste bins and other equipment * Ability to safely operate a roll-off waste removal truck * Operation of fork lift & bobcat * Providing customer service, ensuring all activities are recorded * Maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, and other equipment * Ensuring the required PPE is used at all times * Flexible working schedule * Load & unload heavy objects (Be able to lift and maneuver a minimum of 50lbs) * Light mechanical duties such as greasing, oil changes, and basic maintenance * Ability to work safely and independently * Assisting with other TTLPI divisions as needed *QUALIFICATIONS* *Professional Competencies:* * Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment * Cross cultural awareness * The ability to work with minimal supervision * Ability to follow oral and written instructions *Knowledge and Technical Skills:* * Knowledge of and the ability to safely operate a commercial waste removal truck with airbrakes * Basic mechanical skills * Knowledge and experience with commercial waste removal * General knowledge of General Waste Management *Education and Work Experience:* * Minimum grade 12 graduate or equivalent * Commercial driving experience * Basic mechanical experience an asset *Conditions of Employment:* * Class 1 or 3 Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract *(required)* * Airbrakes Endorsement Ticket *(required)* *ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:* This is a permanent full-time position.
