Registered nurse

This position is for an inpatient staff nurse primary to Unit 1. Unit 1 is a 21 bed inpatient unit that primarily treats patients with hematological/immunological disorders, cancers and provides care for those patients that require stem cell, cord blood or bone marrow transplants. This is a highly acute and fast paced unit with responsibilities that include (but are not limited to) the safe administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy agents, frequent accessing and care of CVC’s as well as frequent administration of blood products/components. Unit 1 staff nurses also provide teaching and support to patients and families within the program regarding chemotherapeutic agents, diagnoses and treatment protocols.
