This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners every day. *Duties* * Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth of children * Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence * Collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs and developmental goals * Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and daily activities * Use effective communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members in a positive manner * Incorporate bilingual (English and French) strategies to support diverse language learners * Utilize computer skills for documentation, communication, and program planning purposes * Lead classroom routines and manage time efficiently to ensure smooth daily operations * Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care * Uphold licensing standards and health & safety regulations at all times *Experience* * Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings or similar environments * Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices * Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special educational needs is highly desirable * Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred to effectively communicate with diverse families * Demonstrated leadership skills in managing classroom activities and guiding team members * Strong organizational skills to plan lessons, manage schedules, and maintain detailed records * Excellent communication skills for writing reports, engaging families, and collaborating with colleagues * Familiarity with computer operation for documentation, lesson planning, and communication tools * Prior experience in teaching or childcare roles that involve classroom experience and time management - Must be registered with the College of ECE. - Up to Date First Aid/CPR Level C Certification - Must be willing to obtain a new Vulnerable Sector Check -At least 1-2 years of working experience Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication shapes the future of young children.
