Process control operator - food and beverage processing

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Odours. Tasks: Operate machinery to process and bag, box or otherwise package food products. Perform corrective machine adjustments. Operate machinery to process and bottle, can or otherwise package alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. Record production information. Observe gauges, computer printouts and video monitors to verify specified processing conditions. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Inform supervisor of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities. Make adjustments to process variables. Maintain shift log of production and other data. Set up and adjust processing and packaging machines. Check products for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards. Operate machines that blend, flavour, condition, dry, flatten, strip or cut raw tobacco leaves. Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures. Assist other processing workers in the operation of various woodworking machines and equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Safe Food Handling certificate. Type of operation: Grinding. Mixing. Blending. Cooling. Packaging. Extraction. Mixing, separating, filtering, melting and roasting. Equipment and machinery experience: Multi-functional process control machinery. Area of specialization: Bearing, seals and packing. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination.
